1954 – 2016

GREENWOOD — Mark B. Cummings, 62, of Greenwood and New Gloucester, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 27.

He was born in Lewiston, July 12, 1954, the son of Arthur S. Cummings II and Helen (Robinson) Cummings. He was educated in Auburn schools, graduated from Gould Academy and Bentley College.

He was employed by State Farm Insurance Co. for several years, and most recently, worked for Catamaran Corp. as a pharmacy technician, from which he retired in 2015.

He was a long-standing member of FOE Aerie No. 4131, New Gloucester, and American Legion No. 86, Gray. Mark married Diana H. Nadeau on Dec. 12, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Diana Cummings of Greenwood; his son, Mark Lockard; grandsons, Robert and David Lockard, all of New Gloucester; his aunt, Ruth Gagnon; cousins, Cheri-Lynn Forrest and companion, William Hunt; Beth and Derrick St. Laurent and their children, Forrest and Grant, all of Lewiston; cousin, John Forrest and his wife, Erin, of San Diego, Calif.; mother-in-law, Helen Heath of Norway; sisters-in-law, Lauri Roode of Glen, N.H., and Mindy Heath of South Paris; stepdaughter, Marianne Kaplan, husband, Evan and their daughter, Abby, of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; longtime friend, Vin Thibodeau of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Scott; his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Mildred Cummings; his maternal grandparents, John and Althea Robinson; uncle, Donald Gagnon; cousin, Stephen Gagnon.
