WEST PARIS — The First Universalist Church of West Paris has announced its January worship services. Services are at 9 a.m. Sundays, followed by refreshments. All are welcome.
“When Hope is Hard to Find:” Jan. 8, led by the Rev. Fayre Stephenson. The history and hope the Hanukkah story offers in dark times will be explored.
“Heroes, do we need another hero?” Jan. 15, led by Marilyn Hammond. She will discuss Martin Luther King Jr. and a broader description of heroes.
“May Peace Prevail: Exploring Multi-faith Contemplative Worship:” Jan. 22, led by the Rev. Bernice Martin. The worship will focus on finding peace within a multi-faith contemplative experience.
“We Should all be Feminists:” Jan. 29, led by the Rev. Fayre Stephenson. Using Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s book “We Should All Be Feminists” as a guide, this service will consider how universal feminism can lead to a happier and fairer world for everyone.
