LISBON — Lisbon Parks and Recreation will hold its 2nd annual Winter Festival from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, in Beaver Park on Cotton Road.

Last year’s event was attended by hundreds of locals.

There will be snowshoeing and dog sled rides at the event. Free coffee and hot chocolate will be handed out.

Aline Strout, Parks and Recreation seniors coordinator, and a group of volunteers will be giving out chowders and chili free of charge.

There will be ice carving demonstrations, and wood carvings will be displayed. New this year is snowman decorating. Families should bring their own hats, scarves and other items to decorate a snowman.

SubZero Ice Carvings will do a demonstration and Riverside Wood Carving will be back to display their works.
