1933 – 2017
LEWISTON — Germaine J. Morin, 83, of Lewiston passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, at her home following a brief illness.
She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 20, 1933, to parents Philip and Maria Beaudoin.
Germaine married Charles Johansen, who passed away in an accident in 1959. She then married George J. Morin Sr. in 1964.
In her younger years, Germaine worked at Weymouth Shop, later moving on to work in the Bates College Den, retiring in 2000.
Germaine enjoyed playing bingo, cards and she loved her family and family outings. She also loved the Bates students, and cheering on their basketball and football teams. She was a sports fan and liked to watch hockey, football and basketball.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Boulay, and her husband, Stephen, of Buckfield; her son, George “Joey” Morin Jr. and his fiancée, Kelsie Fahey of Sabattus; her sister, Venise Morin; and a brother, Ray Beaudoin.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Charles (Sonny) Johansen; second husband, George J. Morin; and a brother, Eugene Beaudoin.
