1949 – 2017
LEWISTON — Bruce M. Angelides, of Lewiston, died Monday, Jan. 9, at Central Maine Medical Center, surrounded by his friends.
He was born in Lewiston on March 6, 1949, the son of James Angelides and Mary (Talarico). He grew up in Lewiston where he graduated from Lewiston High School in 1967. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country from 1968 to 1972.
He worked for Rich Tool and Die Company in Scarborough as a machinist for more than 35 years, before retiring in 2013.
Bruce spent many years at Old Orchard Beach soaking up the sun and “sightseeing.” He finally found his love and married Nancy Belanger in 1989 and settled back to his roots in Lewiston, residing on Haley Street.
Bruce had a witty, sarcastic sense of humor and never felt the need or want to hold back. He loved blackjack, Miller Lite, an occasional girly drink and bantering among his friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, James and Mary; and his wife, Nancy Angelides.
Bruce’s friends wish to express their appreciation to the ICU staff at CMMC and especially Dr. Smith and nurses Gisele and Brittany.
