1943 – 2017
LEWISTON — Caroline Viola Karkos, 73, of Lewiston passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10.
She was born May 7, 1943, in Portland to Edna Wildes and Edward Crowell.
Caroline loved Facebook, sharing pictures, every moment she could be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching the Patriots and listening to Elvis Presley.
In her younger days, she worked at Fancy Stitchers in Lewiston and spent most of her life a homemaker.
Caroline is survived by her four children; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, David Joseph Karkos Sr.
She was a long term survivor of ALS for more than 20 years. She believed in the power of positive thinking and proved happiness, a good outlook and enjoying life could change the odds. We will miss you our angel. Go be free and dance with dad now. Love you always and forever.
