High Street Congregational Church Food Pantry volunteer Ryan Donovan helps client Jammy Slocomb with selections at the pantry. The pantry is open 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays at the High Street Congregational Church, 106 Pleasant St., Auburn. The pantry provides fresh produce, meats, canned goods, toilet paper and personal hygiene products to 240 to 300 families (about 1,000 individuals) a month. Partnering with the church are Park Avenue Methodist Church, West Auburn Congregational Church, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and Good Shepherd Food Bank. The pantry always needs spaghetti and other pastas, pasta sauce, soup, peanut butter, toilet paper, diapers and other hygiene products. They can be dropped off at High Street or the partner churches. Tax-deductible donations are also welcome. The High Street Congregational office will accept donations; it is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
