DaVinci’s Eatery owner Jules Patry bought the property two weeks ago from Normand Rousseau with plans to turn it into high-end, loft-style apartments.

The property had been on the market for several years.

Patry, who also lives downtown, said he had been looking at the building for a while. A number of factors will determine how many apartments the building will have. He isn’t sure about what, if any, future retail will be on the first floor.

Rousseau said he’ll focus on real estate and financial advising after closing Compass Coin and Jewelry, which had called 199 Lisbon St. home.

“I’m happy, my wife is happy — it’s time for me to slow down a little bit,” Rousseau said.

Patry said his plan this year is to repair the masonry and replace windows. First the facade has to come down, which should take about a week.

“I think it’s going to be beautiful underneath,” Patry said.
