SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Rebecca L. Gray, 44, of Buckfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, in Santa Monica, Calif.

Rebecca was born in Lewiston on Nov. 7, 1972, a daughter of Earl and Maxine Larrabee Gray. She attended Dixfield schools and graduated from Dirigo High School. She later attended and graduated from UCLA, earning a bachelor’s degree in English literature.

Rebecca had only lived in California for four months, moving there from Maine.

She was predeceased by her father; and a nephew, Bryan Gray of Dixfield.

Surviving are her mother of Auburn; four brothers, Richard Leighton and his wife, Sandra, of Buckfield, Marvin Leighton and his companion, Carol Hanscom, of Lewiston, Peter Gray and his wife, Sharon, of Alabama, and Timothy Gray and his wife, Mary, of Florida; one sister, Brenda Gray and her fiancé, Ryan, of Brunswick; her uncle and aunt, James and Shirley Sidelinger of Westbrook; an aunt, Sylvia Hawkes of Lewiston; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
