1952 – 2017

AUBURN — Guy Denis Belanger, 65, of Rumford passed away Tuesday, Jan. 17, after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Berlin, N.H., to Therese and Arthur Belanger on Jan. 16, 1952, he married Michelle Breault on July 27, 1974. He retired after 37 years of employment from the NewPage paper mill in Rumford. He was a communicant of the Parish of the Holy Savior.

Guy is survived by his wife, Michelle; son, Keith Belanger and wife, Rebecca; and grandson, Conor; daughter, Denise Watson and husband, James; his brother, Carl Belanger; sisters, Estelle Belanger, Jeannine Birch and companion, Wallace Anctil, Louisette Wiswell and husband, James; brother-in-law, Reginald Breault and wife, Candi; sisters-in-law, Joan and husband, James Meese, Ann Marie and husband, James Sinclair, Jeannine and husband, Robert Law; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents; and his mother- and father-in-law, Lionel and Cecile Breault.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Erickson and Dr. Caldwell, and the staffs at the oncology-infusion department at Rumford Hospital, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice and the Hospice House in Auburn.
