1957 – 2017
GREENE — James B. Desjardins, 59, of Greene passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, Dec. 31, after a long struggle with an illness.
He was born Oct. 26, 1957. Jim loved the outdoors and being connected with nature. He loved to hunt and fish and to live off the land. He was a talented carpenter, writer and an amazing artist. He was a perfectionist at everything he did. He loved to be silly and funny and to make people laugh. But above all, Jim was a family man. There was nothing more important to him than the love of his family.
He is survived by his children: daughter, Amanda, and Eric Grant, granddaughter, Avery; son, Brian, and Meagan Desjardins, grandson, Carter; his ex-wife and friend, Tanya Desjardins; his brothers, Rick Desjardins and family, and Dan Desjardins.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Raymond and Rita Desjardins.
A service and burial will be held for Jim in the spring. As much as we are saddened by his sudden passing, we take great peace in knowing that he is free and may now hunt and fish and love every day from this day on. If love could’ve saved you, you would have lived forever, but so you will in our hearts. He will be greatly missed and loved always.
