1953 – 2017

LEWISTON — Dorothy A. Smith, 63, of Turner, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

She was born March 14, 1953, in Lewiston, the daughter of Bruce Smith and Anna (Bryant) Smith. She was a graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington.

She worked as a rehabilitation counselor for the state of Maine in Lewiston and Wilton. She retired in 2016. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing and quilting.

She is survived by her mother, Anna Smith, of Gorham; her daughter, Marissa Iannucci, and her fiancé, Jason Smith, of Lewiston; her son, Robbie Iannucci and his wife, Jennifer, of Ohio; three grandchildren, Dakoda Iannucci, Addalynn and Savannah Smith. She is also survived by her siblings, Arthur Smith and his wife, Tracy, of Turner, Phillip Smith and his wife, Sue Ann, of Gorham, Mark Smith of Augusta and Margaret Dixman of Auburn; and her sister-in-law, Laura Briggs of Wayne.

She was predeceased by her father and brothers, Bruce, Bill and Stan Smith.
