1950 – 2017

DOVER, N.H. — Shirley “Lee” Evelyn (Dennis) Landford, of Dover, N.H., died suddenly and unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at home.

She was born in Amesbury, Mass., on Feb. 20, 1950, to Bill and Mary Dennis.

She married Frank W. Landford, III, on Aug. 17, 1968, and raised two daughters in New Sharon, where she lived until 2001. She and Frank moved to Dover, N.H., in 2001 where Frank plays the Bodhran in Irish Sessions, which Lee enjoyed attending. Frank and Lee were beloved volunteers at the Children’s Museum in Dover for more than 10 years.

Lee is survived by Frank, her husband of 48 years and her two daughters, Marcy and Keith Shumway of Berwick, and Samantha and Steven Augustus of Randolph, Vt. She leaves behind two grandchildren, Theodore and Abigail Becker of Randolph, Vt., who spent school vacations and holidays with her.

She is bereaved by her brother and sisters, William and Jo Anne Dennis of Groveland, Mass., Susan and Richard Belanger of Kensington, N.H., Stephanie and Anthony Papoulias of Kensington, N.H., and Sandra Wolk of Newburyport, Mass. She leaves behind many other family members, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and their children.
