LEWISTON — In celebration of “Galentine’s Day,” the YWCA Central Maine will provide a specialty gift delivery service for women in Lewiston and Auburn.
Galentine’s Day is a holiday popularized by the television show “Parks and Recreation” to celebrate friendship and love among women. In the season of romance, Galentine’s Day is a reminder that all connections — not just romantic love — are important and worthy of celebrating.
Women in the community may send Galentine gift baskets to the special women and girls in their lives — family, friends, partners, mentors and colleagues.
On Friday, Feb. 13, the official Galentine’s Day date, YWCA staff will personally deliver baskets of treats and well-wishes to women in Lewiston and Auburn.
Galentine’s gifts are available in three varieties: Chocolate Lover’s Basket, Spa Basket and Coffee Lover’s Basket. The baskets are available for order at $30 and can be delivered to any location in Lewiston or Auburn.
The Galentine’s Day delivery service is a fundraiser to benefit the work of the YWCA in the community. Orders will be accepted between Jan. 25 and Feb. 9.
