2012 – 2017

PORTLAND — Gavin Westley Goad, 4, was born on Nov. 1, 2012.

Gavin gained his wings on Saturday, Jan. 14, from injuries sustained in a serious car accident.

Gavin was a sweet little boy; he had an infectious smile that could light up any room. His favorite colors were blue, green and orange. He was an amazing helper, always looking for a way to make people happy. Gavin loved dinosaurs, naming them all and blowing adults away with his knowledge. He delighted in playing with trucks and cars. Gavin was inseparable with his blankets, especially his blue and green ones. He was known to be a picky eater, but he loved chips, chicken nuggets, french fries, macaroni and cheese, ice cream and his marshmallows (known to his family as “smarshmellows”). Gavin was a phenomenal snuggler, the best in the world. People were able to see his remarkable personality and kind soul from a mile away. He will forever be in our hearts.

Gavin attended preschool at Hide and Seek in New Gloucester with his sister, Alexa. He enjoyed playing outside, following his sister around and spending time with his mother, Papa, Mammie and Auntie Katelyn and Uncle Kyky.

Gavin is survived by his mother, Kasandra Brackley; sister, Alexa Goad; grandmother, Lucinda Brackley; aunt, Katelyn Brackley and uncle, Kyle Grass; boyfriend of Kasandra and father figure, Dustin Lessard.

Gavin was predeceased by his grandfather, Dennis Brackley.
