1941 – 2017

LEWISTON — James J. Welch, 75, of Lewiston went to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 20.

He was born in Scarborough on June 29, 1941. James was a son of Percy and Doris (Davis) Welch.

James was educated in the schools of Porter. He worked in many places during his life and was always ready to help anyone in need. He will be remembered for his kind and gentle ways.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Welch, of Lewiston along with his two beloved cats, Patches and Blackey. He also leaves behind his siblings, Arthur Welch and his wife, Marianne, of Cornish, Alfred Welch of Nevada, Norma D’Onfrio and her husband, Edward, of Massachusetts and Robert Welch and his wife, Luanne, of Michigan. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Tom.
