BRUNSWICK — The Bowdoin College Athletic Department is excited to announce its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration on Sunday, Feb.5 at Farley Field House.

This free event is designed to introduce young women to a wide range of sports. Participants will rotate through sport stations while working with Bowdoin’s female athletes. This is an exciting opportunity to try new sports, learn and have fun! Potential sports this year include: basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, softball, tennis and sailing. At the end, join your Bowdoin student-athletes for pizza and snacks.

The program will run with two age groups with kindergarten-3 a.m. from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. Fourth grade through high school runs from 1:30-3:45 p.m. Pre-registration to assist us with planning and event preparation.
