1942 – 2017
SABATTUS — Liette LeBrasseur, 74, of Sabattus passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 8, 1942, the youngest daughter of Emile and Henedine (Gagne) Poulin. She graduated from St. Dominic Regional Academy. On July 1, 1963, she married her husband of 53 years, Charles LeBrasseur at Holy Cross Church. They honeymooned at Niagara Falls. Together they raised five children while her husband served in the U.S. military. She retired from Androscoggin Home Health Care and Hospice in 2005. She was the employee of the year for Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice.
Following her retirement she enjoyed her grandchildren, camping and traveling. Her passion was quilting and sewing. She was a member of the Classic Quilters of Lewiston. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Charles LeBrasseur; son, Daniel LeBrasseur and his wife, Jill, of Delaware; daughter, Janet Poindexter and her husband, Rodney, of North Carolina; daughter, Michelle Gosselin and her husband, David, of Tennessee; son, Charles Lee LeBrasseur of Minnesota; and son, Robert LeBrasseur and wife, Kimberly, of Sabattus; grandchildren, Natasha, Samuel and Teresa Poindexter, Sarah and Andrew Gosselin, and Nicholas and Abrielle LeBrasseur; and her sister, Marielle St. Hilaire.
She was predeceased by her brother, Real Poulin; and sisters, Cecile Michaud, Yolande Castoguay and Doriane Doyon.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center and the staff of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for their wonderful care of our beloved wife and mother.
