PORTLAND — Noah Austin had a pair of goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as Mt. Ararat/Lisbon/Morse defeated South Portland/Freeport/Waynflete, 3-2, in boys’ hockey action Thursday.

Steven Schuman opened the scoring for the Eagles (6-7-0). Cade Charron made 32 saves for the victory.

Atticus Patrick and Gus Lappin scored for the Red Riots (4-6-1) in the loss. Joe Grant made 26 saves. 

Girls’ Basketball

Monmouth 69, Carrabec 24

WINTHROP — Tia Day paced the Mustangs with 12 points as 11 players got on the score sheet in a 69-24 victory over Carrabec.

Emily Grandahl had 10 points in the victory for Monmouth (13-2).

Maddie Hughes had nine points to lead the Cobras (2-12).

Oak Hill 46, Hall-Dale 12

WALES — Desirae Dumais had 13 points to lead Oak Hill to a 46-12 victory over Hall-Dale on Thursday.

Abigail Nadeau had eight points while recording eight rebounds for the Raiders (6-9).

Kayla Searles had six points for the Bulldogs (1-15).

Boothbay 62, Winthrop 29

BOOTHBAY — Page Brown had 21 points to lead Boothbay to a 62-29 victory over Winthrop on Thursday evening.

Sydney Meader chipped in with 19 points for the Seahawks (13-1).

Layne Audet led the Ramblers (8-6) with seven points.

Hebron 50, Greater Portland Christian 27

HEBRON — The Hebron Academy girls’ basketball team took a huge first-quarter lead and cruised to a 50-27 victory over Greater Portland Christian on Thursday.

The Lumberjacks fell behind 5-4 early in the game, but finished the first quarter on a 17-2 run. Maddy New led that charge with 12 points. She finished with 17.

Franceska Halloran topped all scorers with 19 points, 12 of those coming after halftime. She also dished out seven assists and made nine steals.

Louisa Ellis added a career-high eight points for Hebron (6-5). Eliza Quinones grabbed 10 boards, her sixth double-digit rebound game this season. Touna Rouze El Yazidi, a reserve from Morocco, had career-highs in rebounds, steals and assists.

Grace Mears led Greater Portland Christian (4-10) with seven points.

Oxford Hills 38, Deering 35

PORTLAND — Freshman Julia Colby hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Oxford Hills to 38-35 win over Deering on Wednesday.

Colby finished with nine points for the Vikings (12-1), who remain atop the Class AA North girls’ basketball Heal point standings. Erin Morton led the Vikings and all scorers with 15 points. Erin Eastman hit two 3-pointers for six points.

Victoria Garand paced the Rams (8-5, third in AA North) with 11 points.
