LEWISTON — Esther S. Yoo of Falmouth has joined the board of directors of the YWCA Central Maine.
The YWCA Central Maine serves the Lewiston-Auburn community by providing childcare, aquatics, women and girls empowerment programming and social justice events and advocacy around issues of racial and gender justice.
Yoo recently joined the Lewiston law firm of Berman & Simmons where she represents plaintiffs in Personal Injury and Defective Products cases. A graduate of Harvard University and the UCLA School of Law, Yoo is the daughter of immigrants from Korea. She currently volunteers with the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project providing pro bono legal representation to asylum seekers in Maine. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of Maine School of Law.
