AUBURN — The Central Maine Football Forecasters Association has been picking the winners of high school, college and professional football since 1948. The CMFFA held its annual banquet Sunday, Jan. 29th at Gipper’s Sports Grill.
Kal Oakes won the Lamontagne Trophy as the overall champion of the 20 members. It was the 11th time he has captured that honor. Other winners were Bob Aube-Maroon Division champion, Joe Strout- Michelsen Trophy winner as the high school champion, David Wood-Bouchles Trophy for the Off-The-Board champion, Matt Mullen- Johnson Trophy as the bowl game champion. Oakes also took top honors for the McPhee Trophy as the NFL champion and the Pendexter Trophy as the college champion.
