Rumford police log

• Feb. 6, 9:04 a.m.: A Rumford resident reported the theft of cash while giving someone a ride. Patrolman Matthew Desroches is investigating.

• Feb. 5, 8:24 p.m.: Kyle Cote, 19, of Rumford was arrested on Washington Street on a charge of disorderly conduct and refusal to submit to arrest or detention. Cote posted $600 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in a Rumford court March 13.

• Feb. 5, 12:14 a.m.: A 17-year-old female was arrested on Erchles Street on a charge of disorderly conduct. She was released to her mother and is scheduled to appear in a Rumford court April 24.

• Feb. 4, 12:47 a.m.: Matthew McPherson of Rumford suffered minor injuries in a crash on Route 120 and was taken to Rumford Hospital. His 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt was towed.

• Feb. 3, 9:38 p.m.: Daniel Cox, 57, of Buxton was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of domestic violence terrorizing. He was released on $120 cash bail.

• Feb. 3, 6:10 p.m.: A snowboard reported stolen on Glover Road was recovered by Sgt. Doug Maifeld and returned to the owner. The investigation continues.

• Feb. 3, 5:54 p.m.: Patrolman Brad Gallant charged Leslie Woods, 62, of Rumford with theft from a Waldo Street business. She is to appear in a Rumford court April 10.

• Jan. 31, 6:40 p.m.: Devyn Merrill, 26, of Rumford was arrested on Waldo Street by Sgt. Doug Maifeld on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of theft. Merrill was unable to post $100 cash bail and was transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris.

• Jan. 31, 9:14 a.m.: Travis Smith, 35, of Rumford was arrested on Washington Street by Patrolman Matthew Desroches on a charge of domestic violence assault. Smith was released on unsecured bail and is to appear in a Rumford court Feb. 13.

• Jan. 25, 7:49 a.m.: Troy Bennett, 50, of Rumford was arrested on Falmouth Street on a charge of violation of protection from abuse. He was transported to the Oxford County Jail and is to appear in a Rumford court on March 13.
