EXETER, N.H. — Raynald Robert “Ray” Labonte, 74, died Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Exeter Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born June 25, 1942, in Lewiston, the son of the late Dominique and Jeanne Marie (Hebert) Labonte. Ray retired from the U.S. Army having proudly served two tours of duty in the Vietnam War.
Members of his family include his loving partner, Penny Grenier; children, Rachelle Norton (James) of Maine, Mary Anne Pearson (David) of Maine, Theresa Corbin (Michael) of North Carolina, Dominique Labonte of Maine, Robert Labonte (Danielle) of Maine; stepson, Michael Grenier (Kimberly) of New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Roger Labonte (Lucy) of Maine, Marc Labonte (Claudette) of Oklahoma, Lorraine Limoges of Massachusetts, and Norman Labonte (Sandy) of Maine; sisters-in-law, Joline Labonte, and Jo Labonte.
He was predeceased by brothers, Paul, Richard and Roland.
