PARIS — The McLaughlin Garden and Homestead has announced its lecture series for 2017.
The series will run on six consecutive Wednesdays upstairs in Barnard McLaughlin’s historic home at 97 Main St. Tea will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the program to follow at 4 p.m.
There is no fee, but donations are requested.
Upcoming programs are:
Mediterranean Flowers in Maine Gardens: Feb. 22 with garden volunteer and archaeologist Harriet Robinson.
New Perennials for Maine Gardens: March 1 with Sue McIntire, who will represent Longfellow’s Greenhouses in Manchester.
The Botany of Apples: March 8 with Dan Cousins of Pietree Orchard, who will cover odd and fun aspects of pomeculture in his presentation “The Botany of Apples” on March 8.
Hostas: the Friendship Plant: March 15 with Hosta Society member and lifelong gardener Peter Young of Buckfield.
How Does Your Garden Grow: Garden Record-Keeping: March 22 with retired professor Jean Potuchek of Poland.
Gardening Forever: March 29 with Ellen Gibson of West Paris representing Maine AgrAbility.
