INSTRUCTOR: SEAN MINEAR

The Culinary Arts program spent the first semester exploring and learning about baking, braising, roasting, grilling and sauteing.

Over the course of the fall semester, the students were active in a large number of labs as well as with a large number of on-site catered events. Service and honing of skills are the main focus for the rest of the year. The class has now opened the Chef’s Table. This is our 45-seat lunch restaurant, open Wednesday through Friday. The students help to create a weekly menu with several options available each day. The students prepare and serve all of the meals under the guidance of their instructor. The Cafe is open to the public. Guests are encouraged to call the school at 778-3562 for reservations.

A number of this year’s seniors are exploring post-secondary options while other students are already working in local food service establishments. The twenty current students are from three of our partner schools; Rangeley, Mt. Abram and Mt. Blue.
