NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library will is offering to help people keep their New Year’s resolutions for fitness, organization, creativity and money.
New Year’s resolutions are easy to make but frequently harder to keep. For those who feel their resolves are waning but aren’t ready to give up, the library will offer programs to rejuvenate motivation.
Staying Fit During the Winter Months from Inside Your Home: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. Dee Snow, a certified physical trainer from the physical therapy department at Stephens Memorial Hospital, will help those who made a resolution to gain or maintain fitness in 2017, but for whom snow and ice have impacted the ability to get out.
Organization Zen: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 2. Janie Downey Maxwell will show how to get things done, feel more in control of time and bring on organizational peace. Those attending should bring paper and something to write with.
Inspired Mapping & Geographic Expressions: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6. Molly Holmberg Brown will present Inspired Mapping & Geographic Expressions. During this program, participants will identify and map a local place that has personal significance. There is no experience necessary to participate. It is an opportunity to use creativity and see surroundings in a new way. Each attendee will leave with a self-created map. Registration is required and limited to 20 participants.
Planning Your Dollars: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 12. Chris Davis of New Ventures Maine will explore tips, resources and road maps that can guide participants to a healthier relationship with income, expenses and goals, easing the stress of money management.
