BETHEL — Patricia Boyle-Wight will talk about her recent religious studies trip to Myanmar on Saturday, Feb. 25, at West Parish Congregational Church United Church of Christ. It begins at 6 p.m. with a potluck supper.

Boyle-Wight attended a two-week course sponsored by Andover Newton Theological School. Much of their time was spent in Yangon, the former capital, exploring the topic of nonviolence, visiting local mission projects and schools, worshipping, meditating, and studying.

Participants also spent significant time engaging in the many and varied aspects of Myanmar culture, its food and trades, its customs and beliefs, its many religions, and its current political questions and struggles.

Boyle-Wight will speak at 6:45 p.m. Snow date is Sunday, Feb. 26.
