NORWAY — Kathryn “Kathy” V. Kennedy , 75, of Otisfield died Saturday, Feb. 11, in Stephens Memorial Hospital, Norway.
Kathryn and her husband, William C. Kennedy Jr., purchased their Thompson Lake home in 2002 and became Maine residents in 2008. An artist, Kathryn was a member of two Western Maine art associations. She played in women’s golf leagues at Fairlawn and Prospect Hill.
Prior to 2008, Kathryn lived in Glen Ridge, N.J. She was an aerobics and squash instructor at the Montclair, N.J., YMCA before becoming a real estate relocation executive for Coldwell Banker. She was a graduate of Bloomfield High School and Montclair State University in New Jersey.
She also is survived by three sons, William C. Kennedy III (Kitrina) of Portland, Ore., David E. Kennedy of Basking Ridge, N.J., and Richard M. Kennedy (Andrea) of Glen Ridge, N.J.; two sisters, Barbara Kearney of Somerset, N.J. and Patricia Stebbins of Austin, Texas; and three grandchildren, Reid and Merritt Kennedy of Glen Ridge, N.J. and W. Chandler Kennedy IV of Portland, Ore.
