EXETER, N.H. — Robert L. Jones, 81, died Thursday, Feb. 16, in Exeter, N.H.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dian Jones; three children, Karene Wallis, David Jones, Suzi French; six grandchildren; and his brother, Paul Jones of Dixfield.
Bob was born in Rumford, graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and then went on to complete a Ph.D. at the Institute for Paper Chemistry in Appleton, Wis.
Bob had a deep love of history, art, music and photography. He and his wife also had a lifelong passion for travel and adventure. Highlights included living in Prague and traveling to Antarctica and the Arctic Circle.
Bob was very involved with alumni activities at RPI and was a very active member of his community, RiverWoods in Exeter, N.H.
