ACTON — A 46-year-old woman was charged with murder after her estranged husband was injured outside his home and died Wednesday.
Kandee Weyland was also charged with violating a protection order, and was being held at the York County Jail, state police spokesman Stephen McCausland said in a news release.
Authorities said 42-year-old Scott Weyland suffered injuries in his home Wednesday afternoon and was taken to Goodall Hospital in Sanford, where he died a short time later. An autopsy will likely be conducted Thursday.
McCausland said in a statement Wednesday night that “they have a good idea of what happened.”
The Weylands have two children, who were turned over to grandparents Wednesday night, McCausland said.
