NORWAY — Art Moves Dance Ensemble will stage four shows this month, beginning with Outlast the Backlash featuring themes of freedom, hope and humanity.
Tegan Bullard, Erika Lindstrom, Karianna Merrill, Sasha Richardson and artistic director Debi Irons will present the 55-minute performance of music, dance and spoken word for teens and adults.
It will be presented at 7 p.m. Mondays, March 6 and 20, at Art Moves Dance Studio on the third floor at 13 Cottage St. Reservations are required and may be made on Ensemble pages of artmovesdance.com or by emailing [email protected].
A third performance of Outlast the Backlash will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Casco Bay Movers Studios, 217 Forest Ave., Portland.
A Family-Friendly Flight Show will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, in the auditorium at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in South Paris. Donations will be accepted to assist dancers’ travel expenses to Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. They will tour, teach, study and perform with CDTAM, the company which has been to Maine twice, and GDUFRN, the Federal University Dance Company, which will be visiting here in the near future.
