DOVER, Del. — Ronald Robert “Ronnie” Provost, 83, of Woodside, Del., passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 18, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del.
He was born Oct. 4, 1933, in Lewiston, to the late Edward and Juliette Auger Provost. He married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Roy, on June 25, 1955, in Lewiston.
Ronnie proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years before retiring at Dover Air Force Base. After military retirement, he worked for the state of Delaware. He enjoyed trips to Hawaii, country music, his family, playing his guitar and playing pool.
He is survived by his four children, Susan and her husband, Edward Trinidad, of St. Albans, Vt., Sharon of Abingdon, Md., Michael and his wife, Mary, of Stafford, Va., and Robin of Woodside, Del.; brother, Richard and his wife, Sue Provost, of Poland; sister, Connie Jones of Spring Hill, Fla.; and five grandchildren, Nikki, Stephen, Derick, Stephanie and Jenna.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Lorraine; and his oldest brother, Edward Provost.
