A Jeep driven by Florence Williams, 71, of Farmington Falls spun on ice and rolled over on Route 156, also known as Lucy Knowles Road, in Farmington at about 12:30 p.m. Monday. Williams was not injured but needed help getting out of her vehicle, Farmington police officer Ryan Rosie said. Police had just received calls about the ice on the road, caused by melting snow, near the intersection with Whittier Road. They called for a Public Works sand truck, he said. The truck driver arrived just after the accident. Members of Farmington Fire and Rescue propped the Jeep to steady it while they helped Williams out.

Members of Farmington Fire and Rescued propped a rolled-over Jeep Monday to steady the vehicle while they helped a Farmington Falls driver out. Florence Williams, 71, struck ice, on the road, created by water from melting snowbanks flowing on to Route 156, known as the Lucy Knowles Road, in Farmington. Her vehicle spun around and rolled, Farmington police officer Ryan Rosie, said. Police had just received a couple calls about the icy road, near the intersection with Whittier Road. They called for a Public Works sand truck which arrived just after the accident, he said.  Williams was not injured, he said.
