WILTON — Two local residents were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital with minor injuries Saturday after a wind gust blew down a tree onto a vehicle.

Heidi Macisaac, 41, of Wilton was driving a 2012 Ford pickup on Temple Road at about 6 p.m. when the tree fell across the front of her car and took down power lines, Police Chief Heidi Wilcox said.

A front-seat passenger, Brian Hayes, 16, of Wilton received minor injuries. Back-seat passenger Katelin Underwood, 15 was not hurt, Wilcox said.

Central Maine Power workers tended the lines.

Members of Wilton Fire Department assisted Wilton officer Efra Becerra.
