RUMFORD — Shirley L. Dumoulin, 75, formerly of Eaton Hill Road, Rumford, passed away Thursday, March 2, at Rumford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Rumford on Aug. 22, 1941, a daughter of Howard W. and Elizabeth (Bickford) Rand.
Shirley was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School. She later attended Bernard’s School of Hair & Fashion and owned S&J Ceramics for many years.
She married her high school sweetheart, Jacques Dumoulin, on June 3, 1961; they celebrated 53 years together; he passed away in 2015. Shirley was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. She enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and baking. Most of all, Shirley loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Penny Carrier and husband, Paul, of Rumford, James Dumoulin and wife, Billie Jean, of Corinth, and Elizabeth Pagnotti and husband, Steve, of Wayne, Pa.; a sister, Mary Binette of Poland; five grandchildren, Jessica Curato and husband, Adam, Ceara Carrier, and Cody, Alexander and Luke Pagnotti; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Curato.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Wayne and Donald.
