TURNER — School Administrative District 52 Adult & Community Education has announced its upcoming classes for Winter/Spring 2017, including courses in arts, crafts, health and wellness, homesteading basics, career, finance and community offerings.

Classes beginning the week of March 20 include:

Space Planning for Living in Comfort: Participants will learn to create a comfortable living space by laying out rooms for good circulation and creating space that fits lifestyles.

All Levels Vinyasa Flow: This class incorporates elements of Tai Chi, meditation, Hatha yoga and Shiva Rea’s Vinyasa yoga. Students will experience yoga through breath work and flowing postures with attention to structural alignment.

The Gift of the Present — Everyday Mindfulness: Students will experience the present moment and find simple, powerful ways to incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives.

Animals Around Us: Participants can enhance their love of the woods and learn about the sights, sounds and signs of common woodland creatures. A master Maine recreational guide leads this class.

Youth Baseball Spring Training: Kids can shake off the winter rust, sharpen skills and learn new techniques for the upcoming season with Leavitt Baseball’s second annual youth baseball spring training clinic. Players will get a head start on the spring season with coaching in hitting, fielding and throwing.
