Dr. George Velmahos, division chief of Trauma, Emergency Surgery and Surgical Critical Care at Massachusetts General Hospital, presented a lecture to Central Maine Medical Center’s providers about severely damaged extremities on March 3. The lecture was part of Trauma Education Day, one in a series of regular lectures featuring Mass General providers, as part of Central Maine Healthcare’s clinical affiliation with Mass General and CMMC’s Level II Trauma Center verification. The series also supports CMMC’s commitment to providing education to trauma team members and EMS providers.
