DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am looking for a person who could fix my HP Officejet PRO 8500. When I print a document or photograph there is a skip every other inch. The feed roller also needs to be replaced. Is there anyone out there who could fix this for me?

I may need to replace my 3-in-1 printer, copier, scanner. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who is extremely happy with their printer, scanner and copier. I’m looking for good and clear printing for graphics and photos. Call 207-782-5118. Thank you.— Anita, AP Graphics and Fine Arts.

ANSWER: When it comes to very specific models with very specific parts, it is best to get repairs done by the manufacturer or by an authorized service provider. The closest authorized service provider for HP printers is in Massachusetts.

This product has its own information and service page here: tinyurl.com/hmr5hvo. It has resources for troubleshooting and you can speak to a service representative, or “SmartFriend,” to help answer your specific questions by calling 1-844-814-1800.

If anyone has any suggestions or a really great 3-in-1 printer to recommend, please contact Anita.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I am restoring a 1964 Ford Thunderbird and I am having trouble after rebuilding the steering box because it was leaking fluid. Prior to rebuilding the steering box it was working fine, it was just leaking. After rebuilding, reinstalling and refilling it with fluid, we turned the steering box from side to side to get as much of the air out off the system as possible. Upon starting the engine, the steering wheel turned to the right all by itself and the pump started to squeal and we could not turn the steering wheel to the left until the engine was turned off. We tried to get more air out of the system but nothing seems to be working. Is there someone who might have experience with this problem? — Byron, Mexico.
