LEWISTON — Tonya Marie Smith, 46, of 182 Bald Hill Road, New Gloucester, died unexpectedly at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston on Tuesday, March 14.

Born in Portland on Oct. 15, 1970, she was the daughter of Terry L. and Linda St. Pierre Erickson. Educated locally, she married Norman E. Smith on May 30, 2010. She spent several years working at Cole Farms as a cook, and at the Hannaford in Gray, prior to retiring due to health issues. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker, and cherished time spent with her family. She also enjoyed antiquing, movies and camping.

Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Greg Erickson of Auburn; a daughter, Alicia Shaw of Westbrook; and a sister, Wendy Danforth of Canaan.
