LEWISTON — Lewiston police were called to a report of a drive-by shooting on Tuesday evening at 22 Green St., on the corner of East Avenue, and remained on scene for a couple of hours collecting evidence.
According to Lewiston Police Lt. David St. Pierre, an unknown suspect shot several rounds into the second floor of the brown, three-story apartment building.
“No one was injured,” St. Pierre said. “All we have at this time is that we’re looking for a white SUV-type vehicle.”
St. Pierre said detectives have been called in to investigate. Police have no suspect at this point, he said, and are working with local businesses to review recorded footage of surveillance cameras.
St. Pierre also said there is no reason to believe anyone in the area is in immediate danger.
