Selections for solo violin are promised for this week’s Oasis of Music, held at Trinity Episcopal Church, 247 Bates St., Lewiston, from 12:30-1 p.m.. Greg Boardman will perform Prelude in D Minor by Henry Purcell, Fantasia in F Major by G. F. Telemann and Passacaglia in G Minor by Franz von Biber, all on Boardman’s 17th-century violin, made in the same era this music was composed.
The Oasis of Music is a weekly, free music recital featuring music of all genres, open to the public, and always looking for new talent to feature. FMI: Call 344-3106.
