FARMINGTON — Cat and Cliff are the Pets of the Week  at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

Dog of the Week, Cliff, is a 2-year-old, DNA-tested American Stafforshire/bulldog mix. He is a high-energy, handsome boy who loves long walks, chasing after balls and playing, playing, playing! He is bouncy, so he’d do best in a home without small children, but he does love people. He is a one-dog-home kind of guy and likes to chase cats, so he is seeking a home where he will be the only animal.

Cat is the Cat of the Week. She is a 6-year-old female. While she takes time to get to know people, she is affectionate. She is seeking a quiet home.

Cat, Cliff and other pets may be visited at the shelter from noon to 5 p.m., Tuesdays to Saturdays, at 550 Industry Road. Cats and dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption and have been vaccinated for rabies, treated for fleas, micro-chipped, and have had nail trims. The shelter also re-homes barn cats, livestock, and other pets.
