SOUTH PARIS — Aili V. Wuori, 96, of Oxford passed away Monday, March 27, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Greenwood on July 31, 1920, the daughter of Peter and Saimi Niskinen Peiju. She graduated from Oxford High School and married Armas Wuori.
She, her husband and their four children worked hard on the dairy farm for many years. She worked at various shoe shops and apple orchards, as well.
She is survived by her son, Peter, and his wife, Betty, of Oxford, and daughter, Serena Dube, of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lahja DeBello.
She was predeceased by her husband, Armas; daughter, Susan Ward; son, Martti; grandson, Mark Ward; and sisters Sylvia Foster and Helen Abbott.
