The Southern Maine Squadron of Sampson Air Force Base Veterans will meet at noon Thursday, April 13, at Governor’s Restaurant & Bakery, 1185 Lisbon St., Lewiston. The veterans that went to Sampson Air Force Base for basic training in the 1950s, and any veterans in the Korean War era, are welcome to attend and share experiences. Sampson was a U.S. Naval training center prior to becoming Sampson AFB. This will be the last winter meeting, and a new agenda will be discussed in the April meeting. FMI: 207-784-5691.
