NORWAY — The Oxford County Wellness Collaborative is currently providing Restorative Community trainings to teach facilitation skills that support people from varied backgrounds to work together.
The next training will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the Harper Conference Center in the Ripley Medical Building, 193 Maine Street.
The OCWC is working to build social ties and stronger, healthier, communities. The Collaborative has brought together groups across Oxford County using restorative practices to share thoughts, ideas, and passion, surrounding the belief that as a community, residents can take charge of creating a healthy life for all. This process is based on envisioning the possibilities for a vibrant healthy county, and building connections between people that will allow our community to work together effectively to make Oxford County a better place.
Food will be provided at the training, and financial help is available to cover transportation and childcare expenses. This training is recommended for anyone who wants to build interpersonal skills, facilitate meaningful conversations, and for those in leadership roles.
The cost per participant is $50, and there are full and partial scholarships available. Registration is required.
