AUGUSTA — Nancy Diane Ouellette, 82, of Augusta died Friday, March 31, after a brief illness.

Nancy was born in Waterville in 1934, the daughter of the late David and Cecile (LaFlamme) Sylvain. She was educated in Lewiston schools. On Nov. 11, 1950, she married the love of her life, Roger Ouellette, and they shared a loving marriage of over 66 years. She devoted her life to her children and grandchildren.

Nancy was employed at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for 37 years when she retired. For many years, they wintered in Florida with her brother and sister-in-law. She was full of life and fun to be around. They traveled extensively in the United States. She was a big fan of Elvis and loved to collect his memorabilia. She loved her soap operas, especially “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Nancy is survived by her husband, Roger Ouellette of Augusta; her four children, Michael and his wife, Linda Ouellette, of Orlando, Fla., Linda and her husband, David Jenkins, of Mechanic Falls, Kenneth and his wife, Penny Ouellette, of North Monmouth, and Bryan and his wife, Michelle Ouellette, of Augusta; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Brittney, Hayden, Lindy, Bryan, Dustin and Devin; many nieces and nephews; and her brother, Richard Sylvain of Port St. Lucie, Fla.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, David Peter Sylvain.

The family would like to thank the nurses and Dr. Robert Dohner at MaineGeneral Medical Center, second floor, in Augusta. They would also like to mention the special people in Nancy’s life, including Jean and Leo Cloutier of Auburn, Shirley and Maurice Ouellette of Minot, and Lorraine and Roger McCormick of Mississippi.

Mom will be so very missed by her husband and children.
