Workshop on televised candidate forums
NEW GLOUCESTER — The next meeting of New Gloucester’s Cable TV Committee will feature a public workshop on candidate forums for selectmen and state legislative offices that are televised on NGTV community access Channel 3. They are broadcast live and recorded at the Meetinghouse. Citizen input is being sought to evaluate past practices and apply changes, if any, to the protocol of future forums.
The public workshop will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at the Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road.

Vendors sought for Spring Fling
LEWISTON — Loaves and Fishes’ Spring Fling vendor fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at 855 Lisbon St. behind Staples at the bingo hall.
Admission will be free, and the sale will feature, crafts, jewelery, pastries and other items. Refreshments will be available.
There are still openings to rent a table for this event. There will be no competing specialty vendors. All specialty vendors will receive a table on a first come, first pay basis. Fees are due with registration form to guarantee space.

Widows Connection monthly breakfast
AUBURN — For widows who are seeking fellowship, encouragement, support and fun, the East Auburn Baptist Church will host a monthly Widows Connection breakfast at 9 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month.
Following breakfasts, the widows will have a 30- to 40-minute workshop on different topics of interest.
The workshop is free, and the breakfast costs $5. Reservations are required.
There will not be an event on Saturday, April 15, when the church has its Easter celebration.

Electronic waste collection at Oak Hill
WALES — Oak Hill Adult & Community Education will host a free community collection event with eWaste Recycling Solutions from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at Oak Hill High School, 56 School Road.
Community members may recycle for free televisions, monitors, printers, laptops, microwaves, batteries, stoves, vacuum cleaners and other items. A complete list of eligible items is available by contacting Oak Hill Adult & Community Education.

Free community recycle day
AUBURN — A free recycling event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at 40 Stanley St. off Center Street.
Items like tires, televisions, printers, cellphones, eyeglasses, documents to be shredded and other items can be recycled.
The SHAREcenter will gather items such as craft materials, children’s books and puzzles. For a complete list of items, log onto www.communitycreditunion.com.
Cribbage league lists winners
LEWISTON — Lewiston Senior Citizens Cribbage League winners on March 30 were, first place, Claudette Grandmaison and Terry Lefebvre; second place, Carol Laplante and Trudy Faunce; third place, Dick Dennis and Sue Fisher; fourth place, Val Madore and Cecilia Treworgy; and fifth place, Dick Eccles and Mickie Farnum.
The Seniors play on Thursdays at the Lewiston Memorial Armory.
