Season outlook: The Lakers made a major leap in their second year back after reviving the program, and there is reason to believe they can continue to move up in Class D South with everyone back. Seven of the 12 players are capable of pitching, although there is a lack of varsity experience after the top four. The lineup is solid. Larochelle’s biggest point of emphasis is defense, which made things harder on the pitchers last year by making critical mistakes. If they do, they should be able to crack the top four in the standings, get a home playoff game and go from there.
