PORTLAND — “A British Isles Medley,” this year’s celebration of spring by Renaissance Voices, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the newly renovated and resonant Cathedral Church of St. Luke, 143 State St., Portland.

The 20 voices of Portland’s premier a cappella ensemble, directed by Harold Stover, will perform two traditional Gaelic songs along with works by Thomas Weelkes, Orlando Gibbons, Charles H.H. Parry, Charles Villiers Stanford and Benjamin Britten. Readings by members of the choir will round out the program.

Renaissance Voices has been performing in Maine for 22 years, and the group has sung live on Maine Public Radio. Stover, internationally known organist and distinguished composer, has led the group since 2001.

General admission is $20 at the door, $15 for seniors, $10 for students with ID.
