LISBON FALLS — The Parishes of Holy Trinity, Lisbon Falls and Our Lady of The Rosary, Sabattus, will hold an open house to honor the Rev. Lionel G. Chouinard, who is retiring.
The open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 30, at Holy Trinity Church Hall, 67 Frost Hill Ave.
During Chouinard’s 52-year priesthood, he has touched many lives, especially over the last 17 years serving the Greater Lisbon-Sabattus area.
In addition, Chouinard served the Parishes of Holy Cross and Holy Family in Lewiston; St. Christopher, Peaks Island; St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Madawaska; St. Dominic Regional High School, Auburn; Holy Name Parish, Machias; U.S. Air Force Base in Bucks Harbor; St. Theresa, Mexico; and St. Augustine Parish, Augusta.
His many years of spiritual guidance and civic dedication to those communities are cherished memories for those who came in contact with him.
